Editorial Policy

This policy explains how Embodied AI Insights selects, researches, produces, labels, updates, and corrects its editorial work.

Purpose and scope

Embodied AI Insights exists to help general technology readers understand significant developments in embodied artificial intelligence and robotics. This policy applies to articles, profiles, explainers, research briefs, images, headlines, summaries, updates, and other editorial material published under the Embodied AI Insights name.

Editorial standards

We aim for accuracy, independence, clarity, proportionality, and transparency. Headlines and summaries must fairly represent the article. Material facts should be supported by attributable evidence. Relevant uncertainty, limitations, and context should not be omitted merely because they weaken a more dramatic narrative.

We distinguish fact from analysis and do not present predictions as established outcomes. Technical language is translated for a general audience without knowingly changing its meaning. When evidence conflicts, we describe the disagreement and explain which evidence carries greater weight.

Sources and attribution

We prefer primary sources, including research papers, official technical documentation, regulatory filings, court records, patent records, public datasets, direct company releases, product manuals, and on-record statements. A company source can establish what a company announced; it does not by itself independently verify performance.

Secondary sources may be used for context, independent observation, historical reporting, or facts not available in primary materials. Anonymous sources are used only when the information is important, the source is in a position to know it, the risk of identification is material, and the information can be corroborated where practicable. We explain the reason for anonymity when doing so does not expose the source.

We link or identify sources sufficiently for readers to inspect them whenever practical. Quotations must preserve the speaker's intended meaning. We do not knowingly plagiarize, fabricate quotations, or invent citations.

Evidence labels

Robotics reporting often mixes very different stages of maturity. We therefore distinguish among:

  • Concept: a proposed system or design without a demonstrated working prototype.
  • Prototype: a functioning development system that is not yet established for routine external use.
  • Demonstration: a displayed capability under stated or observable conditions; a demonstration is not proof of general reliability.
  • Pilot: a limited real-world trial with a customer, partner, or operating site.
  • Commercial: a product or service offered to external customers under defined terms.
  • Production: repeatable manufacturing or deployment at a stated scale; “mass production” is used only when evidence supports that characterization.

We also distinguish company statements, media reports, research results, and independently observed evidence. When only a vendor claim is available, the article should make that boundary clear.

Artificial intelligence

AI tools may assist with search planning, transcription, translation, summarization, drafting, data organization, or image creation. AI output is not treated as a source of fact. Factual statements must be traceable to the underlying source material, and responsibility for publication remains with the Embodied AI Insights editorial desk.

Materially AI-generated or AI-edited editorial images are visibly labeled. We do not use synthetic media to create a false impression that an event, product, person, or deployment was photographed or independently observed. AI assistance does not change our correction obligations.

Images and media

Images should be relevant to the accompanying content. We identify AI-generated editorial illustrations and, where applicable, official-source or courtesy images. Captions and disclosures must not imply independent observation when an image was supplied by a company or created illustratively.

We respect copyright and use media under permission, license, applicable exception, or another lawful basis. Rights holders may submit a detailed request through the Contact page. We review credible claims and may remove material while a dispute is assessed.

Corrections and updates

We correct material factual errors promptly after confirming them. A correction should state what was wrong and what changed. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, or link repairs that do not alter meaning may be made without a correction note.

Profiles and other living documents may be updated as products, companies, or evidence change. Publication and last-updated dates are displayed separately when they differ. Substantial changes that alter the article's conclusion, evidence, or scope should be disclosed in an update note.

Readers can report a suspected error by emailing hello@embodiedaiinsights.com with the article URL, the disputed statement, and supporting evidence. Corrections are decided by the editorial desk, not by subjects, advertisers, or sources.

Independence and conflicts

Editorial judgments are made independently. Writers and editors should disclose financial, employment, advisory, family, or other relationships that could reasonably be perceived as affecting coverage. A person with a material conflict should not make the final editorial decision on the relevant article.

Receiving review units, travel, event access, briefings, or embargoed information does not guarantee coverage or favorable treatment. Material support connected to a story will be disclosed when relevant. We do not accept payment to alter independent reporting.

Advertising and commercial relationships

Advertising, sponsorship, affiliate links, and paid partnerships must be clearly identified so that a reasonable reader can distinguish them from editorial content. Sponsored material will not be labeled as independent analysis, a review, or a recommendation.

Advertisers and commercial partners do not control editorial conclusions and do not receive undisclosed influence over story selection. Advertising should not imitate navigation, obscure content, or encourage accidental interaction.

Complaints

Anyone may raise an accuracy, fairness, attribution, privacy, or rights concern by emailing hello@embodiedaiinsights.com. Include the relevant URL, a clear description of the concern, and evidence supporting the requested change. We will review good-faith complaints and respond when further information or action is warranted. We do not guarantee a particular outcome or response time.
